CESA STATE COMMITTEES
Awards | Loni Eazell, Chair This committee facilitates the annual CESA awards program.
Conference | Tiffany Cacho, 2026 conference Chair The Conference Committee works all year long to ensure the Annual Conference and Training provides pertinent education and the latest best practices to members.
Development Committee This committee works to design and improve peer support programs, develop training and resource materials, promote mental wellness and community engagement, and shape the vision and strategic direction of peer support initiatives. Legislative | Ray Riordan, Chair This committee's duties include monitoring and reporting on California and Federal legislative activities, providing recommendation on actions by the Association Board and CESA members, and drafting materials that facilitate association and member response to legislative activities.
Membership | Isamar Garcia, Chair This committee works on the recruitment of new members and the retention of current members. It also evaluates how CESA can best provide value to its members and analyzes membership trends to provide recommendations to the State Board on how best to fulfill membership goals.
Mentoring | Jeff DuVall, Chair This committee facilitates the Emergency Management Mentoring Program.
Public Affairs | Mikaela Torres, Chair This committee supports CESA and its member’s achievements through the CESA newsletter and provides a social media presence for the Association.
Training and Education | Kacey Treadway, Chair This committee focuses on advancing the field of Emergency Management through educational opportunities and coordination with others involved in the field of training & education.
EM Certification Committee | Bryan Ariizumi, Chair This committee oversees the California Emergency Manager and California Professional Emergency Manager certification program.
Policy | Vicki Osborn, Chair This committee develops and maintains the Association’s policies, bylaws, and guidance documents.
